Heather Heyer, 32, was killed in a crowd of anti-racism demonstrators in Charlottesville on August 12, 2017 when a Nazi sympathizer purposefully plowed his car through the protest. The man who killed her was at the white supremacy rally in support of President Donald Trump, according to his mother.
By virtue of Guanduania's stance against all types of discrimination, we consider her a martyr who resisted racism and fought to death against it, and we celebrate her as hero of our young nation to inspire our citizens to fight against all types of discrimination and injustice.
May her soul rest in peace, we will continue her fight.
